My Experience: A Memorable Visa Change Journey to Sohar

Recently, I embarked on a unique journey to Oman for a visa change, traveling on the bus destined for Muscat. The scenic views and village landscapes along the way were breathtaking, making the journey truly memorable.

Upon reaching Sohar, I spent the entire day at the Sohar bus station, soaking in the local atmosphere and mingling with fellow travelers. I met some amazing people who, like me, had traveled to Oman for the same purpose. Sharing stories and experiences with them was an enriching experience that added a unique dimension to my trip.

Inside the bus station, there was a shop selling delicious fried chicken. I couldn't resist trying it out and also exchanged some currency to take home as a souvenir of my journey.

While exploring Sohar, I noticed some interesting differences in the local culture compared to UAE. It was rare to see local people driving taxis, a sight seldom seen in Dubai. Their unique culture, distinct building styles, and traditional dressing set them apart from UAE Arabs. The ambiance of Sohar made me feel like I was in an authentic Arabic village.

The roads in Sohar reminded me of Indian highways, with newly planted plants lining the sidewalks. This added a touch of greenery to the surroundings and enhanced the overall scenic beauty of the place.

During my visit in 2019, I also noticed grocery and stationary shops with hanging bananas and chip packets displayed outside. These small details gave Sohar a distinct charm and provided me with a different experience compared to my time in Dubai.

Conclusion

Traveling from UAE to Oman by bus offers a convenient and cost-effective way to explore this beautiful country. Whether you're planning a visa change or simply want to experience the scenic beauty and rich culture of Oman, the bus journey from Dubai to Sohar is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
